Navel oiling is an Ayurvedic ritual dating back to the fifteenth century. Herbal oil is massaged into the belly button, traditionally believed to support digestion, emotional balance, and overall well-being.
Long before we could eat or breathe on our own, the navel was our connection to the cord that nourished us in the womb. What's left is an opening rich with blood vessels, lymph, and the body's energetic center. In Ayurvedic tradition, oiling and massaging the navel is known to bring the body into a state of rest and digest, allowing the herbal oils to be absorbed transdermally.
-
Transdermal delivery of herbs and medicines is a common practice in both Western and Eastern medicine, think nicotine patches, pain relief gels, and hormone creams.
The skin around the navel is thin and rich with nerve endings and lymphatic flow. Research has shown this area absorbs certain compounds faster than skin elsewhere on the body, lending new light to an old practice. When our herbal oil is placed into the navel, it absorbs through these pathways and begins to nourish the tissues deep in the gut.
-
Navel oiling is traditionally used in Ayurveda to support the gut, skin, and nervous system through daily oil application and gentle abdominal massage. Simply placing oil into the navel also creates a sensation of deep nourishment and protection we felt in the womb.

Our formula brings together over forty botanicals working in harmony to nourish body, mind, and spirit. Our ancestors held a deep connection to the land and medicinal properties of plants. The recipe is a protected, ancient herbal prescription and was carefully formulated with each plants properties in mind.
We're a small Indian-American family business, and each batch is created through ancient Ayurvedic practices such as bhasma, which refines minerals, and bhavana, which slowly blends herbs and oils. These methods allow the botanicals to integrate deeply, making the oil more potent and bioavailable.

Find a quiet, comfortable place to lie down. Most people prefer to do this in bed before sleep.
Begin with a few drops in the navel for the first week, then move to one full dropper as your body adjusts. Allow the oil to warm with your body heat before massaging in slow, deep, clockwise circles until fully absorbed. The deeper the massage, the deeper the medicine travels.
Formulated with calming botanicals that may bring on deep relaxation or sleepiness, it's best used before rest, meditation, or bedtime.

Our oil is meant to be incorporated into your nightly routine. We recommend starting with at least seven nights in a row; consistency is key. Most people begin to notice shifts within 1-2 weeks.
-
Our oil is made with gentle, natural botanicals chosen to nurture and soothe even the most sensitive skin. However, every body is unique, so we recommend a small patch test first: apply a drop to your inner wrist or behind your ear and wait 24 hours.
